Unity Church Walking Club...
Unity Church walking club is on the move once again! Spring is here and we have already been to the Buffalo Zoo! We are walking every Sunday at around 12:15pm.
This year we will be walking at many different locations around Buffalo and Western New York….Our schedule will be posted on the Unity Church walking club bulletin board downstairs.
We plan on following the schedule every week depending on the weather. Our destinations will include:
Delaware Park, The Buffalo Zoo, Tift Nature Preserve, Niagara Falls, Beaver Island Park, Buckhorn State Park, The Riverwalk , the UB Biking trail. Bird Island Pier, The garden walk ,the Botanical Gardens and South Park, Cazenovia Park, the Niagara Gorge, the waterfront and we may even car pool to Letchworth or Allegany State Park.
We also have our scheduled organized walks for the Paws in the Park to benefit the SPCA and the
Light the Night walk to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
On colder day or if we are short on time, we will use our close favorites like the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Delaware Lake, the Elmwood Strip, and the Art and historical museums!
So please join us for a pleasant and fun walk with good friends and good conversation. All you need is a good pair of walking shoes and a water bottle if the weather is very hot.
For further information or questions, please see Carol Brown on Sunday after church or leave her a message at the church office and she will call you back! Everyone is always welcome and you can join us at anytime. There is no application or paperwork involved any longer! If you have any places you would like to add to our walking club list of destinations, please call me or talk to me after church!.
I am looking forward to another great year of getting in better shape and seeing some of the great places in Western New York that we know and love.
