Celebration of Life service for Joanne McGarry

Luncheon to follow

Our dearly beloved Joanne McGarry made her transition on Sunday, January 8. Our church will be open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 for those who would like to greet Joanne's family before the service which starts at 11:00. The luncheon immediately following the service is being catered, courtesy of Joanne's family. Those attending are invited to bring a dessert to share. Thank you for keeping Joanne and her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Regular Ongoing Events, Meetings, etc.

Emotional Freedom Techniques practice group - Selected Mondays, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Dates for November and December: November 7 and 21, December 5 and 19. Co-Faciitated by Judy Seale and Kathy Stillwell. Newcomers are always welcome. For more info, see www.eftuniverse.com.

What If Up? Club - Selected Mondays, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Next meeting: Monday, December 12. Speak with Tiffany Lampe or Judy Seale for info. www.whatifup.com

Prayer Shawl Gatherings - Usually the first Tuesday of the month, from 1 - 3 p.m. November 1 and December 6. Next gathering: December 6. We suggest that you call or email the church before coming, to confirm that the group is meeting.

A Course In Miracles - Tuesdays at 5:30 pm. Contact John Scott, our "ACIM" group facilitator, through our church office for more information.

Unity Prayer Chaplains - Prayer is the heart of Unity Church in Buffalo. Our Prayer Chaplains meet one Thursday per month.Chaplains are available for one-on-one prayer support after our Sunday services. Our Chaplains do four things: hold spiritual space with you, lovingly listen, pray one-on-one with you, and hold what is heard in absolute confidence. Noon Prayer & Meditation Service - Wednesdays at noon.

PeopleArt Coffeehouse - Fridays at 9 p.m. Featuring performances by local and regional folk musicians, singers and songwriters -- all original music. $5. For more information, call Bob Stalder at (716) 878-4041. The Coffeehouse is on a winter break starting December 16; will resume on January 20, 2012.

Pet and Animal Ministry team - Next meeting: to be announced.

Potlucks - 4 times per year, after the Sunday service. Next Potluck: to be announced.

Sunday Celebration Services - Sundays, 10:00 am. See page 3 of our newsletter for lesson titles.

Reiki "spot treatments" - usually the 1st Sunday of each month, right after our service, with members of our Reiki team. Next Reiki spot treatments: to be announced. Contact Peg Crawford, Reiki Master/Teacher, through our church office about Reiki activities and classes.

Unity Gallery art exhibit - On view for November and December: "Solo Show at Unity" by Donna Hale. Featured are landscapes and still lifes, in oils and pastels. Friends of Vienna - Friends of Vienna is a nonprofit organization that presents classical chamber music concerts at Unity of Buffalo. Walking Club - Our Walking Club has started back up! The Walking Club is open to anyone interested in getting some exercise and walking. A full schedule is posted on our church bulletin board. For more information, please call our church office (882-0391) and leave a message for Carol.
