Lecture by Jon Mundy, Ph.D. -- Wednesday, May 28, 7 p.m.
$20 love offering.

Reverend Jon Mundy Ph.D., noted author, popular international lecturer and publisher of Miracles Magazine will speak on the "Psychology and Metaphysics of A Course in Miracles", why it works and how it differs from traditional Christianity.

A Course in Miracles is a practical self-study spiritual curriculum designed to lead us out of a thought system based on fear and guilt in favor of one based on love and truth thus leading to peace and happiness.

Dr. Mundy is Professor of Philosophy at Marist College in New York and author of several popular books based on A Course in Miracles. He is a sought after speaker and has given over 1,500 lectures on this topic. His talks are filled with humor, inspiration and profound insight and wisdom. A highlight of his presentation is the insane madness of Dr. Baba Jon Mundane, as standup philosopher / comedian.

The Mystical Arts of Tibet -- The Drepung Loseling monks sharing a sacred ceremony -- Lama Chopa -- Thursday evening, June 26.

Lama Chopa - A Buddhist Tantric Celebration

Lama Chopa is perhaps the most popular practice in Tibetan Tantric world. It is traditionally performed on auspicious occasions for invoking the blessings of the enlightened masters for individual, communal, and environment healing. The ceremony involves chants, traditional musical instruments, and various offerings of light, food and flowers. Participants usually bring personal offerings of cakes, cookies, fruits and flowers, which are blessed during the ceremony and then shared with others afterwards.

This practice was composed by the First Panchen Lama, Lobsang Chokyi Gyaltsen. The First Panchen Lama was the guru of the Fifth Dalai Lama, and perhaps the singularly most popular figure in seventeenth century Tibet. His Lama Chopa achieved an almost instantaneous renown, replacing all similar pieces in the monasteries of Central Asia. Today it is perhaps even more popular than ever, serving as something of a symbol of the endangered Tibetan civilization.
