"Lessons From The Sacred Hoop" Workshop
Sunday, August 26
12 - 1:30 p.m
$20 - Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
Grammy® nominated Recording Artist John Two-Hawks will impart wisdom from the Sacred Hoop, sharing some basic tenets of Lakota ways with which all human beings can connect. Learn an ancient perspective on what it means to live with your feet on the ground and your hands to the heavens, and know your deep relationship to Mother Earth and all her children. Learn what it means to walk the good red road in a sacred manner, and how the red and blue day teach us all about balance, choice and purpose. A profoundly moving experience for all.
The Medicine Wheel, sometimes known as the Sacred Hoop, has been used by generations of various Native American tribes for health and healing. It embodies the Four Directions, as well as Father Sky, Mother Earth, and Spirit Tree—all of which symbolize dimensions of health and the cycles of life.
John will share his personal perspective on these lessons in this very special workshop.
Tickets will also be available at the door on day of event.
Also, John will participate in our Sunday Service starting at 10 a.m. by leading us in that morning's meditation. Our service is open and welcoming to everyone who would like attend.
John's talk will be Honor (One of the 7 Lakota Virtues) A pathway to a life of purpose.
