(Medicine Buddha Healing Ceremony)
Medicine Buddha is the embodiment of the enlightened healing principle. Participation in this timeless and ancient Tibetan ceremony helps to activate one’s inherent healing potential that promotes physical, emotional and spiritual well being as well as environmental and global healing. Traditionally most monasteries perform this rite at least once a month in order to ensure the health and happiness of the surrounding community. The healing powers of the rite are channeled from the divine sphere into the mundane entity of the individual by means of music, meditation, mantra and mudra, or “finger dance.” After the ceremony there will be an informal meet and greet with the Monks at which time attendees can view and purchase their wares.
In addition, the monks will join Unity of Buffalo’s Sunday service on June 30 at 10 a.m., offering guided meditation and dialogue, which will be followed by a farewell potluck. The Sunday service begins at 10 a.m. and is FREE for all to attend.
The Monks will be available to conduct House Blessings during the following times:
Friday, June 28 between the hours of 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
