Creating Intentional Spiritual Community -
A Mission-Centric Ministry Model

Workshop with Eastern Region Church Consultant Rev. Pat Bessey

Rev. Pat Bessey, the Eastern Region Church Consultant, will be here to help us develop Vision and Mission statements!

Mission-Centric ministry occurs when a spiritual community knows their vision (the big and grand picture of what they are up to in service to the world), their mission (what makes them unique as a spiritual community), what they believe in and how they reflect these beliefs and ideals in the world (their core values).
Knowing, however, is not enough! There must also be a defined plan for implementation, with S.M.A.R.T. goals and authentic actions, which guide the ideals into expression within the spiritual community and the world.
In a Mission-Centric environment each member is integral to the whole, has clarity around agreed upon roles and responsibilities and accepts a level of accountability for their specific role. These activities working in harmony support the creation of an intentional spiritual community that holds shared leadership at its core.
Statistics show that ministries thrive when they are clear about who they are, what they are up to in the world, who they serve, and where they are going.

A grass-root community creation of a collective vision, mission, core values, and strategic-spiritual intentions (next bold steps) invites success.  This also invites congregational ownership, which is integral to the creation of a thriving and intentional community mission-centric model.

Please sign up in church to let us know you are coming and bring a snack to share.
