Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery

The Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery are back at Unity of Buffalo, this summer! There will be two events on Tuesday, June 30th. The first event will be at 4:00 p.m. and will be a lecture, "From Confusion to Enlightnment: Steps in Inner Evolution." During this lecture the Monks will share with us how even the most confused individuals can grow to be fully matured and enlightened- "The seed of enlightenment lies dormant within all living beings, and is present even in the most confused states of mind. Like a lotus grows in mud and becomes a fully blossomed flower..."

The second event on June 30th will take place at 7:30 p.m. This event will be a Puja or Prayer Service titled "Tibetan Chants and Meditations for Healing." The Tibetans believe that meditaton and sacred chant ceremonies are an effective way to heal and protect in a time of conflict of any kind. During this puja the audience is welcomed to receive healing through meditation and will also have the opportunity to chant with the Monks.

This will be the Monks' only appearance in the Buffalo area. They will be coming to Buffalo after spending a weekend at the Lilydale assembly. This is the only opportunity to see them anywhere in all of Western New York, this summer, here at Unity of Buffalo.

Tickets are available at a suggested love offering rate of $15.00 for the lecture and $20.00 for the puja. No one is ever turned away due to inability to contribute the suggested amount
