It is sometimes said that consensus decision-making assures that spirit gets its say. But what if the consensus is wrong? What if decisions are made by good people who may be reflecting--not some hidden fears and anxieties? Unity of Buffalo YFM Sets Sail by Betsy Rados, Unity of Buffalo Youth and Family Ministry Director

Unity YFM Sets SailIn the words of Unity Co-Founder, Myrtle Fillmore: “Our mission is not to entertain the children, but to call them out.  To be always entertained is to be dwarfed and dependent.  To be ‘called out’ is to follow the harmonious law of the soul’s unfoldment.  Who meddles with the rosebud?  What fingers are deft enough to pry open that marvel of folded beauty?  We are wise enough to leave it alone to follow the glad law of its own unfolding, but our children!  Have we dealt as wisely with these buds of marvelous possibilities?  Have we always remembered that they, too, must quicken and unfold through the innate law of their own genius?”

A Course in MiraclesA Course in Miracles by Rev. Allaurah Olson, Unity Minister Emerita

I have fallen in love with A Course in Miracles and I would love to share this love for the Course with you!

The first time I heard about A Course in Miracles was in the 1980’s when I was studying to be a Unity Minister.  I felt very drawn to it, and bought the set of three books and began trying to understand it.  But I found that I didn’t understand it.  (Probably because ego didn’t want me to understand it.)  So I put it away for awhile to focus on learning the skills of becoming a minister.  From time to time I would get the workbook out and start at the beginning again.  But it just didn’t click. The language of it confused me   I just didn’t get it.  More recently, because I still wanted to understand it, I took some on-line classes with Jennifer Hadley, and the light began to dawn.
